Lung Flute is indicated for positive expiratory pressure therapy, which is an important part of Bronchial Hygiene Therapy (BHT). BHT is very effective for a variety of congestive conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Lung fibrosis, Severe pneumonia, Respiratory failure with inability to clear retained secretions, Acute lobar atelectasis and some conditions of chronic bronchitis where sputum induction is difficult.

Clinical  studies have proven  Lung Flute’s ability to break-up mucus  on the lungs, making it equally effective for both therapeutic and diagnostic use. Unlike other devices, which rely on pressure and can’t reach the deep lung mucus, Lung Flute’s technology is based on low-frequency acoustic waves that are produced when  the user blows into the flute-shaped device.  These amorphous sound waves travel deep within the lung,   makes secretions thinner and   easy to dislodge by the  user, with minimum effort,thereby alleviating lung congestion.
